Good Dental Camera?
For a dentist friend, I need to recommend a good digital camera. Simple and very effective - basically good quality pics at close range. Does anyone have any experience in this
i agree, there are more beautiful things out there..but some1 needs to pay a mortgauge, what will a dentist do otherwise.
Get a DSLR (Nikon/Pentax/Olympus) and a nice Macro in the 60-90mm range (Nikon 60mm/Olympus 50mm/or Tamron 90mm for any of these) and get a macroring lite (a flash that circles the front of the lens). In addition you can with either of these tether shoot straight into a computer and see the image a few seconds after shooting on a bigger monitor.

Bonding involves coating the teeth in a special composite agent to restore shape and colour.

CEREC is a hi-tech alternative to dental putty (which is used to make impressions of your teeth). CEREC is fast and eliminates the need for dental moulds and temporary fittings.

i want to buy a digital camera to take super close up snaps of teeth, for dental use, any body have any idea on this one? with good macros and optical zoom...
Kodak does a couple for dental use,but theyre too expensive for what they provide under the ''dental'' banner.
What is your budget? My suggestion would be an entry level DSLR such as the Canon 350D/Digital Rebel XT or Nikon D40 with a good macro lens and a ring flash.
The cheaper alternative would be a pocket camera that supports macro mode and also have ring flash adaptor.
